Synthetic Images is a series of images commissioned by artist Stan Douglas. Created in 3D with painstaking detail, my role on this project was to create some of the hundreds of props that inhabit these images.
Since the final resolution of these images was to be in excess of 15k, the team and I had to diligently study archival blueprints and photographs of these Vancouver neighborhoods to recreate these scenes as historically accurate as possible.
A small selection of the After Effects based motion graphic work I have been fortunate enough to contribute on.

Animations from an interactive experience chronicling the path a Falun Dafa practioner takes through the Chinese prison system. Along the way we see how these 'prisoners' are routinely subjected to inhumane conditions and torture.
Maya + Adobe Suite
A video commissioned by the City of Vancouver encouraging people to be prepared and stocked up in the event of a large earthquake.
Attached images are the shots that I worked on.
My role in this production was to:
- Set up the scene in After Effects in a way which encourages and complements the Voice Over.
- Initial colour grading.
- Organise assets and Footage.
- Work closely with the Team Lead to create a cohesive, emotive video.

After Circa 1948 began to wrap up, we began to think of ways to showcase individual props.
For this exercise we decided to take a select few props, put them in a new environment and present them in a light which still has a strong foot in Circa.
